As Colorado’s legislative session comes to a close, now is the time to better understand what happened under the Gold Dome and what it means for Mesa County businesses moving forward.
Join the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, May 19 at 8:00 a.m. for our Legislative Wrap Up Breakfast featuring State Senator Janice Rich, State Representative Rick Taggart, and State Representative Matt Soper.
During the breakfast, legislators will discuss the highlights of the 2026 legislative session, the priorities that shaped debate at the Capitol, and the ongoing efforts to keep business competitiveness top of mind in Colorado.
Over the past 120 days, the Chamber has worked alongside legislators and statewide stakeholders to advocate for policies that support economic vitality while pushing back on measures that continue to challenge Colorado’s business climate and, in turn, Mesa County’s competitiveness.
We will also welcome special guest DJ Summers from the Common Sense Institute, who will provide insight into recent reports examining Colorado’s economic trajectory, workplace losses, TABOR impacts, and the growing pressures surrounding the state budget.
This breakfast is an important opportunity to stay informed, engaged, and connected to the policy conversations shaping our local economy and business community.
