National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is observed every October 15 to highlight the disproportionate impact of HIV on Hispanic/Latinx communities.
Since 2003, this day has served as a powerful opportunity to:
- Promote HIV testing
- Support prevention and treatment
- Fight HIV stigma
- Mobilize the Latinx community
- Raise awareness
Get Tested. Stop Stigma.
Colorado Health Network (CHN) works across Western Colorado to prevent the spread of HIV by offering free and confidential testing, promoting treatment as prevention, and providing access to PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis). Our approach includes a wide range of education and prevention services designed to meet people where they are, helping to reduce risk over time in a supportive and non-judgmental way. CHN serves the diverse communities of the Western Slope through local outreach and strong referral networks. In addition to HIV prevention, we provide essential health services such as insurance and medical enrollment support. Additionally, CHN is an approved location for a sterile needle access and exchange program, ensuring care remains accessible to all. As an active member of statewide and regional advocacy organizations, CHN is committed to advancing social justice and health equity throughout Western Colorado in the 22 counties we serve. Together, We Can End the HIV Epidemic. Whether you are learning your status, starting treatment, or supporting a loved one — you are not alone.
